Dr. Misti Poulos
Ph.D, LPC
I became interested in the counseling profession while completing my Master of Divinity degree and found them naturally compatible. I graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010 with the Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Counseling. I then completed my PhD in Psychology in 2013.
I have been a practicing therapist since 2010 and completed my Ph.D. in 2013. I enjoy listening to people and helping them with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Loss and Grief. I am non-judgmental and will create a safe space for you to breathe and talk freely.
My counseling approach is collaborative with the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Together we will identify problems and develop strategies to solve them. One of my favorite questions to ask in the first session is, “Imagine after treatment has ended, what will you want to have obtained?” and then we head in that direction. To schedule an intake appointment with me, please call our scheduling staff, I look forward to meeting you.
